On the 15th of December 2013 1:h30 (morning) we were on our way on holiday to Jeffrey's bay/Sedgefield. We drove over a rock in the road and phoned first for women road side assistance to assist and told them about my situation, where they eventually send a load bed truck to fetch my car.
Firstly I don't understand that if I have roadside assistance on my cover with First for woman, why did they only send a truck to load the car? When I asked if they would send us another vehicle to take us to a place of safety they told us NO, that we should make our own arrangements to get to a place of safety.
Also the area where this happened was not a safe area at all, as it is prone to hi-jacking. When the incident happened we never got out of the vehicle until the gentleman from the towing company arrived. There were many people that passed our vehicle that time in the morning.
What I want to know from First for Woman what is the meaning of roadside assistance??? I had to phone a family member at 2:h00 in the morning to come and assist as my own family was stranded (husband and dauther) and at risk.
How is that for service from your insurance, when you on your way for an holiday?
