No service with home loan application

We went into FNB pavilion on tuesday 28/01/2014 to make an application for a home loan. I am a long standing account holder at FNB with an excellent credit record. After waiting patiently for a long time we were attended to by Nonhlanhla Nkosi. We filled out forms and gave ALL necessary documents. She completed application and said she would forward to home loan department and we would receive a response in 48 hours. We did not receive any sort of communication from FNB by today 03/02/2014 so decided to phone her. She did not call back by midday so I called the home loans dept and they said they have received no documents whatsoever from the branch!!! How pathetic and appalling that after 5 working days there has been NO PROGRESS regarding the application!!! We are now told it will take up to 14 days to approve!!! We have to get the bond approved by a certain date or our offer will be cancelled and thanks to the shoddy service from FNB this may well be the case. I insist that FNB speeds up my application and I expect a response within 48 hours. We thought that going directly to FNB rather than through a broker would quicker and more efficient. What a mistake!
