My car was badly damaged by a hailstorm on 28th November 2013. I contacted my insurer, submitted a claim and they arranged for the car to be towed for an assessment. The vehicle was written off due to the extent of the damage. I have not heard from anyone at the insurance company and the claim remains pending. No reasons were provided. Calls to the Claims Department are not answered and no one ever comes back to me.
This is unacceptable. You took the risk, I paid the premiums, the event occurred and now it's your time to pay. Isn't this what insurance is about? I read the fine print again. There is no clause that says you can keep my money without providing any reasons for doing so.
