I placed a claim with my buildinginsurance, the nature of the claim is a security risk for my family. I contacted the claims department spoke to dan on 14 Jan he said it was a payable claim and that I could go ahead and pay and claim back from the insurance. I proceeded to do this. before I submitted the claim on 15 Jan we received a call from an exceptionally rude claims clerk informing us Absa wont ENTERTAIN our claim. This is unacceptable as they had confirmed the day beofre.
I am looking around for alternative building insurance with better service and where contracts are honoured as well as taking further action if the matter is not rectified.
