My vehicle was bumped by a drunk driver, the police at the scene suggested both drivers draw blood in the absents of a breatherlizer. When my claim was submitted in NOVEMBER 2013 I was informed the claim is on hold pending the blood results. I contest this on the basis that the blood was volunteered as per the police suggestion. An independent assessor was appointed to investigate and report submitted. I informed that the findings recommended that the insurer settles the claims. The report has been with the claims manager and santam since early December 2013 and to date I have not yet received feedback on the decision. I last spoke to the claims manager early in January and She promised me the claim will be settled in 10 days. It is now more than 10 days. Last friday I was told the claims manger is on leave and the system is down so no service.
I have been a loyal client of Thebe and Indwe risk since 2000 . It is now 5 months of paying for a vehicle I do not have plus an insurance premium for a vehicle that is written off and in possession of the insurer.
