I sent in a claim for a Samsung S3 mini that I lost. To my knowledge, I am covered for the value of R4800. That's what I had agreed to. I called the call centre today to find out the progress on the claim. The agent told me there had been an order sent in for a Samsung S3 mini. 1. I was not called to be informed the claim is approved. 2. I was not asked whether I still want the same Samsung or a phone of the same value. An option I'd been offered in a claim I made in July 2014. 3. The Samsung S3mini is NOT R4800 or anywhere close. So I'm being short changed. Why is it that I'm not being given the option of choosing a phone to the value of R4800; something that I was given the last time I claimed for a lost phone. I am paying insurance to get R4800 worth and I'm being replaced with a phone that is now R3000 or less.
