No Response after ABSA Erro

My husband closed his bank account with Absa end of Sept 2013. Before you can close an account, you have to pay the outstanding amount of withdraw any positive balance. After this was done, the credit card account however wasn't closed as requested and bank charges were charged. When trying to obtain finance for a student loan for out daughter going to Varsity, we were informed we were Blacklisted by Absa. When my husband phoned the credit card division, he was assisted (or not) by a Didi who quite frankly informed him that's true, Absa did blacklist him but he mustnt worry, because its only for a year. This would be acceptable if we were at fault but due to somebody at the banks neglicence, we will not accept this. My husband insisted on getting this sorted and still no word from ABSA. We need this error rectified ASAP please???
