I am dismayed at the pathetic service and protection afforded by standard bank!! On the 3 February 2012 an amount of R2000 was withdrawn from an unknown person in America, I was only made aware of this when I received the sms on my phone-i had to call standard bank myself querying this matter! I was told that they will investigate and attempt to get my money back. This is just ridiculous that my money Is not appropriate safeguarded by a large bank such as standard!!! There is no such thing as standard bank will attempt to recover my money, I demand a full investigation immediately, and my money refunded-the fact that this occurred means that standard bank has a weak pathetic security system in safe guarding our cash!!! should I not hear from standard bank within 24 hours on an immediate plan of action, I will consult with the Ombudsman and if need be the consumer protection act, I am sure CPA would have advise me on a way forward -should standard bank not assist!! my contact details are as follows;
