We had a insurance claim on the 3rd of December 2013... its almost 2 months later and we still have no feedback on what is happening. We phone the Insurance line every day and get the same story... they ar busy with the claim... i spoke to a guy name Carl tody and he said that i must lower my voice because i am screaming in his ears.
An assessor where sent to our house to assess the damage... this assessor is also the contractor who is suppose to do the repairs... so this sounds like a conflict of interest where by Absa employees have there own Business outside of absa. They also declined a cash payout of the claim saying that the reason for this is that they have already given the contractor permission to do the repairs... should they cancell this we will have an access of R500 and another R400 repair cancellation fee.
We have spent about R400 on telephone bills trying to get a response from Absa but no luck. I have decided to get a representitve to follow up on this.
