After trying the whole morning to get through to a consultant at Homeloan Insurance I finally got through. The bargeboard on my house is loose and if it was not for a friend showing me maybe I would still not have seen it. I phoned the Standard Bank Insurance claims and was asked if this was insured and the person said yes and then asked me how it came to be loose. How am I supposed to know that? This is up there and I have When I say I don't know I'm told to get a builder to come and investigate it. If claiming from the Insurance company are they not the ones supposed to send someone to investigate. This is very strange, I would understand if they say we will come and investigate and decide after seeing the damage.
