I had my home loan debit order returned on the 20th of December by less that R500 my debit order was returned and at the same time my account gets debited with R115.00. I think this is ridiculous that standard bank can just money from their customers. the same thing happened to me in august and the debit order fee was re credited to my account. In December I contacted the Customer resolution centre and advised them that I do not think its fair that I get charged the fee because I had money in my Pure save account and when I noticed that my bond was unpaid I transferred the money. I was advised that a call will be opened and a request was put in to reverse the R115. I was given a reference number 56800909. When I was not contacted back I followed up on the query and I was told by Lindiwe Ledwaba that unfortunately this could not be done, asked why it was done the first time she advised that that person was lien ant. I do not understand how I can contact the same company and be told that by an employee. I think it is ridiculous to pay the R115, when I pay my monthly fees, etc. I would like to close both my current and Puresave accounts. I do not want to be ripped off like this
