Called Transactional Lending to top up my student loan, and was asked to send through my documents, which I did on Sat 18 Jan.
On Monday 20 Jan, I called again and was helped by Grace, who said that my documents have been forwarded to Wayne, and that he would call me back regarding my application.
It is now Sunday, 26 Jan, and nothing has yet happened.
No-one has called. No email. No sms.
I had the exact same problem last year. It is now, once again, almost too late to register.
After being with Absa for over ten years, and paying in excess of R250 for banking fees, you would think they would at least give you the courtesy of a 5 minute phone call.
Is this how Absa rewards loyalty??
They respond very quickly when your credit card payment is one day overdue, often calling three times a day.
But try applying for a student loan or, as a matter of fact, anything else. You practically have to BEG.
Once again, Absa fails to deliver.
