TARIFF INCREASED BUT CUSTOMERS NOT NOTIFIED

Good day

I am a Standard Bank customer and i have an Access Banking Account which i applied for in February this year.

When i applied for this account, i was told that they would charge R2.00 for every transaction (withdrawal) i make at a Standard Bank ATM.

However, i wanted to use my bank statement for something and when i requested a copy, i noticed that they are now deducting R5.50 from my account every time i made a transaction (withdrawal) at a Standard Bank ATM - without my knowledge!

As a loyal customer, i believe i was entitled to a notification or just information to know that i will be charged more for my transactions now than for me to be charged more and not knowing it. It was supposed to be my choice to decide on whether i want to continue with the Access Account or maybe choose something.

I feel betrayed coz of this misinformation.
