Claim refusal - no responce

I submitted a claim for damaged ceiling board due to water after the massive storm in Benoni area at the end of January. I was contacted by the assessor on Tue for a Wed appointment. On Wed they advised he was sick and could not come. After a heated argument a replacement was sent who did not have the correct address got lost and had to be collected at an intersection and shown the way. His report was sent to the insurance who contacted me on Friday 01 Feb to say the claim was rejected due to lack of maintenance on the roof (this was refuted) they said I would receive their report on Mon 04 I have still not received it. 1. The Geyser was replaced 14mth ago by the SB appointed installer who had to remove the roof tiles to put it in. 2. The house was completely painted and maintained 8 months ago including roof fascia boards - no roof defect were reported at either of these times. 3. How often must one endanger your life and climb on the roof to inspect? You can visit the doctor and die of a heart attack the next day - what is a suitable time period between inspections? Some times you only know there's a problem when one arises. The roof was OK 8 mth ago why is the claim rejected?
