I went to Absa to Fica our account. I had a statement from a service provider, wich I got in an e-mail. When I got there, they told me that they can't accept the statement, it should be something that was mailed to me, with my address on. I don't get any statements of bills via mail, so why can't they take something that HAS my residential address on? I'm so furious, because nowhere, not even on absa's website with fica information, do they say the proof of residence must be mailed to you. I'm closing all our absa accounts as soon as possible, you can't complain about service if there is no service
