FNB - We CANNOT help you!

I made a Balance Transfer application on 15/02/2013 and payments were made to the 3 nominated accounts (Edgars, Game & Foschini) on 19/02/2013 and I closed off the accounts as required. Last month I received correspondence from Edgars that the payment made to them was later rejected and I should enquire with my bank on the cause for rejection because they don't have any indication/record on why payment was rejected.
On Wed 29/05/2013 I called FNB Balance Transfers department & they told me they only do new applications. They transferred me to Credit Card department who also said they dont deal with balance transfers so they cant assist. They transferred me back to Balance Transfers department. I spent the next /-40 minutes being transferred from department to department without any assistance.
I decide to go to an FNB branch in Midlands Mall (PMB) the next day and they too said they cant assist me, such issues are not dealt with at branch level!
It is so frustrating that Im stuck with a problem which no one is resolving, instead I get moved from pillar to post! Why does FNB create such services if they can't equip their staff with the competency to deal with the related queries?
