In Dec 2012 my STD Bank account was debited before the agreed upon date and before my Dec salary was paid into my account. They informed me that it was due to the fact that in Dec client's salaries are paid into their bank accounts earlier so they debit client's accounts after salaries have been paid. Std Bank debited my account before my salary was paid into my account. This put me in a very difficult financial position - nonetheless that is over now. After complaining to STD Bank about the event and my dissatisfaction of the above, I received an e-mail from Mpumelelo Ndlalane from the Complaints Resolution Centre Dept. Her e-mail was pathetic and contained incorrect information. She did not even have the decency to do a simple spell check before sending the e-mail. I could not believe that an institution like Std Bank would treat my complaint with this level of incompetence. Now, however, after replying to her e-mail in Dec 2013 just after receiving it and not getting ANY reply to it from Std Bank, I totally understand. Std bank has no desire to treat their client's with respect by just replying to an e-mail. Nobody has since given me any feedback - I must be their April FOOL!
