I resigned from my previous employer on the 2nd of December 2013, my provident fund claim was submitted to alexander forbes around the 5th of December 2013. Of which alexander forbes had all of my documents as well as my contact details. I called them early in January to find out when the claim pay out will be and then only they informed me that they needed my bank statement, copy of my ID and marriage certificate!!! Surely they could have contacted me earlier to advise that they needed these documents?!!! After emailing the documents to them, the confirmed receipt of the requested documents and advised that it would take 5 to 7 working days for the processing department to give feedback if the documents were sufficient and then it would take another 48 hours for the claim to be paid into my bank account. I called this morning and the person who I spoke to said that they are still waiting for feedback from the processing department and he could send a follow up email to them which could take another 5 working days to respond!!! Efficiency is definitely not a factor for your employees! I expect feedback ASAP and my claim to be paid before end of January 2014
