My car was on the 19th of December 2013 and after being a client of Outsurance for 13 years this was my first claim. What a horrific experience in dealing with Outsurance. Firstly the claim is still not finalised after a month - (there goes there supposed 48 hour turn around time), secondly they confirmed pay out of an amount of R70 000 and all of a sudden turned around and said no sorry that amount was for a hatchback and our vehicle was a sedan and they were only paying out R62 000. Outsurance had the incorrect vehicle loaded on the policy although they have a recorded conversation confirming our vehicle as a sedan. Outsurance treated us as criminals and even did a credit check to make sure the vehicle was not repossessed and that we were making a claim. We are still waiting (after more than a month) for Outsurance to pay out our GPS and for the Remote that was in the car which they say are not covered or not specified. We had to show them that on their own policy it is covered under out and about. Dealing with these guys was not a pleasant experience and i will not refer them to anyone.
