My mother in law passed away in June 2013. Between myself and my father in law we have called the central number for deceased estates and sent the information they required only to still get statements and calls from the collections department saying that the account was overdue. The account could not be paid until the deceased estates stopped the interest and sent us a new settlement figure.

Finally the account was settled (full and final settlement) and the account was supposed to be closed. This month, my father in law got another statement with the monthly service fee.

Death is difficult enough to deal with but this was possibly a worse experience! Each time a statement arrives or he received a call, it brought back all the emotions of my mother in law passing away!
