My bakkie was damaged in a accident in November and the claim was handled by Nishal at Virgin Money Insurance. The bakkie was towed away to the yard and then to Galliga Autobody Panelbeaters in Midrand.
When the bakkie was ready for collection (end Jan) we were told that the battery that was in the bakkie was old and dead. My wife told Shane that it was impossible as we had put in a new battery in October (proof was submitted) and photos were submitted etc. In the interim Shane from Galliga bought a new battery and put it into the bakkie. When we went to collect the bakkie on the 1st February from Galliga, we were told that they had to put in petrol because the tank was empty. We told Shane it is ridiculous as the bakkie had more than half a tank of fuel in it when the accident happened. Unfortunately we cannot prove who the battery or the petrol but we think this is ridiculous that this happens.
