RE: Bond Prepaid Application
On the 23rd December 2013, my wife and I applied for a bond prepaid to the amount of R7500.00 as advised by First National Bank Home loans department.
The bank promised to pay-out the said mount in seven working days, but to our greatest dismay the money was not paid. According to the bank, our Absa 3 Months bank statement was insufficient. Consequently we re-submitted another 3 months bank statement, after which the bank committed to pay out the said amount in 48 hours but the amount would then be decreased to R5600.00.
I am sadly disappointed to say that even the R5600.00 is now reduced further to approximately R3200.00 which is far way below the amount required for my son's registration fee for his final year B-Com Studies at the University of Johannesburg.
I also wish to state that every time we went into the bank to enquire about the prepaid application, we were tossed back and forth with very little and contradictory information. We feel terribly compromised.
