I am unable to make on line purchases with my FNB gold card. I phoned the call centre to sort the problem, thinking it would be a quick process. I have just put the phone down on the 7th person I have spoken too when he too said he could not help me and I had to go back to the online department - Online had just transferred me to him saying they could not help.
Not only is nobody able to assist me, but every person starts off by saying you are in the wrong department, I cannot help you, and I will transfer you to the correct department.
When I had my first "let me transfer you to the correct department" I had to tell myself to keep it cool because this happens EVERY TIME I phone FNB for assistance.
Finally I asked how I can close this account as I am not interested in an account that cannot do the simplest thing - purchase online - and was told I have to go into a branch. Awesome, a 3 hour queue to remedy lack of service. Brilliant in keeping yourselves out of the digital age FNB. Forging ahead WOW.
