I keep getting harassing sms' from a "Creditworx" about an Avis account that I supposedly owe them money for. This is all news to me. I rented an Avis vehicle. Paid a deposit of R750 / R800 last year and gave them a vehicle back in the same condition, only with half a tank of petrol. I NEVER GOT MY DEPOSIT BACK. How is it possible that I owe them money and HOW can they hand me over for not paying when I have never received a statement what I owe them money for. Creditworx is aware of that, supposedly sorting it out for me, but insists on sending me weekly harassing sms' saying I have not paid, but they have not yet sent me the statements. My question to one Lerato today was, HOW MUST I PAY if I dont know what I am paying and IF THEY CANT GET THEIR OWN PAPERWORK straight. She mumbled some excuse. This is very frustrating to know one gets handed over for OTHER people's poor admin skills. I have also contacted AVIS directly, but they chose to merely IGNORE my email asking what the R400 was for.
