I was waiting for money to come into my account on 2 January to cover all my debit orders. FNB however returned 5 of my debit orders as unpaid without even informing me that they were going to do that. The total bank charges for these 5 returned debit orders is R612! This is really a lot of money for something that could have been prevented and that I was not even informed about!
In the past if a situation like this happened, they always informed via sms and I could ensure that there was money in the account.
I am self employed and am I am paid irregularly and cannot control this, but I can ensure that there are sufficient funds available for the debit orders to be covered, if I am informed!!
I submitted 2 requests on internet banking for FNB to call me back and reverse the bank charges, but have not received any response back!
I request you to please reverse these charges and ensure that I am informed of this in the future so that I can make arrangements.
