For some time now I have been insured with MiWay and I have never had a problem. A day ago I received a call from another insurance company wanting to give me a competitive quote. I agreed to this to see the difference in amounts. Turns out the other insurer came out R50 cheaper and I was sent a quote - but then noticed that "this other Insurer" could not even get my surname correct nor the registration of my car. This then made me skeptical. I then called MiWay and spoke with Thapelo Masinga who I explained the whole situation to and in addition to see if my premium with MiWay can be adjusted. It took only 2 minutes for MiWay to drop my premium nearly 5 times lower than what the "other Insurer" offered. Further to this, the way Thapelo handled this was extremely professional and made me feel like a valued client. I have no intention of leaving MiWay. Since all of this, I feel I am being harassed by this "other insurer" (I will not mention their name, but they are green in colour) trying to make a quick buck off of me.
