A consultant from old mutual came to my workplace convincing us to take old mutual products. I was convinced in taking a retirement plan, but I told the consultant that I was in a bad financial state so it would be better for me to take it in january. She agreed but told me to sign the form in the mean time, I signed the form as I trusted her and the company she represented. To my suprise in October my money was deducted by old mutual. I reported this matter to a nearby branch (Nongoma) and wanted to cancel the policy but I was told to go stanger branch and saurt my issue there since the consultant is from Stanger. I was also told to fetch a form from my H.R department. I went to Stanger as I was advised. I was referred to a consultant who was not accommodating. She said she cannot see in the system who assisted me with the policy she also told me that in order to cancel this plan I must bring my proof of resident. Iam really unhappy with old mutual and their consultants who does not want to solve minor problems that were created by their colleagues.
