Debit for Cancelled Insurance Policy

In October 2012 I was approached by a girl named Koketso who's an Old Mutual consultant at a SITA Sports day, she sold me a funeral cover and I was interested at that moment. The required documents were not available and she only had the application form which contained my ID and Employee Number.

I am utterly shocked and upset that the policy was implemented without my consent. What's more worrying is that money is being deducted from my earnings. I have informed the consultant (Koketso) on numerous occasions that I DO NOT wish to take up the policy. But it seems that she has ignored my request and has implemented this policy using my employee number.

I enquired with Shaun Strydom, who then referred me to Rochelle Bossman, who also referred me to Anna. Anna advised that Betty (Koketso's manager) would call me to resolve this and I'm still waiting.

This is a simple matter which should not be so difficult to resolve, however it seems that Old Mutual does not value consumers if they are not giving them their money.

This is really not the way to treat consumers and I do not wish nor would I want to be associated with Old Mutual in future.
