I went to an Old mutual in Birch Acres Mall, Tembisa on Monday 21 Oct 2013 at 14h37pm. I wanted to cancel a funeral plan that i have with them. A lady at reception who assisted me, unfortunately she had no name tag, said yes they do cancel funeral plans but i won't get refunded my premiums to which i said i am well aware of that, i just do not want them debiting my account again this month. She then said the lady who does that is on lunch and will be back at 16h30pm. I couldn't understand how a branch with 5 consultants and and only 3 clients would expect me to wait for one person who is on lunch, do they not all offer the same services? Couldn't she at least offer me a form to fill in given that no sane person would want to sit for that long to cancel a policy when there are other consultants in the branch. I just left but i feel they should work on their staff training, so that no person on lunch affects the servicing of clients!
