Absa needs no customers - bad attitude

What ever happened to customer service in Absa? 1 year ago I Rica'd my Absa account 2 days ago i tried to pull money from the atm to no avail, on going into the branch in Sandton I was told with no warning that my account is blocked. This morning I went in to the Absa Norwood branch asked to speak to the branch manager who was rude, uncaring and all she would do is deny or even attempt to fix the issue at hand. Then told me and I Quote her "CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU WHANT WE DONT NEED YOUR BUSINESS". shock and irate, I left as clearly she had no customer service skills and clearly was in too lazy of a mood, to even assist a client of the company she works for. I will take her advise though and go to another bank where they do care about customers and will advise all my friends to do the same. Nice one Absa get some standards and learn to teach your staff that with out us customers they might just not have a job.
