I went to the bank a week ago asking for funds to pay for medical reasons.
I was assured that my credit card (the best option), would be available in two to three working days.
This matter is extremely urgent as I can not attend to my medical needs unless I pay the full amount upfront. I phoned ABSA this morning, asking for my credit card as I am currently at the doctors and I need to pay the full amount urgently.
To my surprise, since 8:00 this morning, I made three calls.
First time, they told me that my card would be here early today, And I waited.
Second time, I was informed that my card would be here only on Monday/Tuesday (it's Friday today).
I told them that this is a matter of urgency and they ensured me that they will phone me back.
I received the call back and I was then told that they will try and find out where the card is and have not received any response as of yet.
I am EXTREMELY disgusted in the way this urgent matter has been handled.
I am frustrated and disappointed, as I have been banking with ABSA for quite some time.
I have a Gold Cheque account and I have never defaulted on anything yet I have been let down to the point where I do not know what to do.
