I had an accident in July 2013 and wrote off my car. I was only able to recover R18000 less than what I paid for the car, including a R5100 excess. The other party ran a stop street into a busy main road, resulting in me T-boning him, so the accident was not my fault.
I received a call this morning telling me they had recovered the FULL excess amount and it would be paid into my account today. Throughout the past few months they have constantly kept me updated with what has been happening regarding the recovery and I am extremely happy that they managed to recover the full amount.
I am very happy with auto and general. When the accident happened, they were very efficient and we had the entire process sorted out within a day. The claim amount was reflected in my bank account the following day after I reported it.
