Is this false advertising?

Hi

I applied for a credit card at african bank because I'm urgently in need due to a family funeral coming up tomorrow. So when i saw an advert that I can get approval within seconds, I went to African bank in Kempton park, got a nice responce, filled in an application, submitted all documents requested, was told everything is going ok, i got an offer amount.got a silver credit card, then at the last minute found out that the system is sending it to 'confirmation' and that i will only be able to use the card after that has been done before 10am today she said, I understood and left. At 11:42am i called in at the 0860333004 number to check the status of my application and i was told that employment was confirmed, nothing is missing from my side but my application was routed through to the 'assessment' department. I ask how long they think they might take and the responce is that they dont know!!! So if the employees don't know, how will i ever know whats going on. I went to African bank because of how fast they claim to be able to help now im stuck, dont want to go to another bank because i dont want to end up with 2 cards but i need help. What do i do?
