Yesterday afternoon the one glass panel of my sliding-door shattered. Phone Outsurance, the first person (friendly, helpfull) cannot assist me, but will get someone to phone me back that can assist. I ask if I can get companies to assist with the problem as my house is no longer secure. He tells me do proceed with getting someone to fix it as this is a critical problem and good to be proactive
I proceed phoning all glass companies in the area, and no one can assist. Finally get one company that can assist, get a qoute for R1900.
Still no call from Outsurance.
I phone them again after an hour, and speak to someone that can 'assist' me, who is not at all friendly and helpfull Quickly tells me that I have to pay R2032 as co-payment. i ask how is it possible if it only cost R1900 to repair and replace? She says that is what I have to pay. I ask and say can just as well cancel it and pay for myself for cheaper, she says yes, and cancels the claim immediately!
Why do I have insurance? Why is a co-payment MORE than the actual replacement and repair? Why is a co-payment for a piece of glass R2032? Why did no one phone me back for assistance? I demand an answer from Outsurance.
