I have a knew personal loan with Nedbank. I received a sms from them on 2013 -12-13 that I must make sure that there is funds in my account for a debit order. This puzzled me since my payment must go thru on the last day of each month. I contacted the personal loan department, the lady I spoke too said that they send me a sms earlier regarding a double payment. This was some strategy from nedbank since most people get a bonus in December. I had to contact them to opt out of this extra payment. I explained that I received no such a sms. and I don't have extra money for extra payments. The lady said that according to there system I did receive the sms, basically calling me a. I reported the matter to the complaints department. Their feedback is that I must have gotten the first sms if I got the second one. I must thus be a. I don't believe a sms is a legal document that has the power to alter the written agreement I have with nedbank. They can phone me like they do when they want to sell me insurance and other stuff im not interested in when they want to make such a drastic change to your contract. Im extremely unhappy and consider it a breach of contract, .
