I have a bond with FNB. i ran into arrears during 2012. the bank sent me a summons for the outstanding money. i called the bank and made an agreement with them to catchup the outstanding money. about 65k. i repaid every month as agreed and was down to a payment of R 3K odd. that payments was supposed be paid on the 2nd of the month and i only paid it on the 22nd. in the meantime the Bank took judgement on me for the full outstanding amount of the bond, R 796 733.00. the only thing to pay was 3k odd. i ask you, if you think that this is fair practice. i am in credit on my account, still own the property, but am blacklisted and the Bank says that it will stay on my name for the next 30 years. i am 55 now, so that kills any chance of ever getting credit again. if i never paid the Bank anything and just ignored them then i would say fine. but to blacklist me for a measly 3k odd, that they got paid anyway. the Bank has in reality me to the wall and taken away any chance of me been able to get finance again. WELL DONE.
