Totally Disappointed

So I've been a loyal fnb customer for a couple of years now.. I recently tried applying for a credit card. To my surprise I was declined. Obvious reason, my credit rating.. im a person with low debt which is now a problem.i recently had to open an account to build a credit score which is still not good enough.i mean surely I understand that I have a low credit rating, but surely fnb can see I have a fixed salary put in my account every month. A consultant told me I need to be in more debt to get credit to make more debt. Bottom line is fnb cant do anything for me. Although im banking with them for years. I spoke to a different bank and they assured me they'll be able to assist me. Hows this possible? If thats the case good bye FNB
