First National Bank
FNB ILLEGALLY SELLING A SETTLED DEBT

I had a FNB credit card many years ago.

I settled this credit card with a law firm representing FNB more that 5 years ago and received a letter confirming the settlement of this credit card.

recently FNB has sold this settled debt to a law firm. and this company is making demands on me for R19000.

Now, for those that don't know. Any debt which has not been collected on or you have confirmed after 36 months is prescribed.

Except for debt owed to the government, SABC licence and a few others, prescription applys.

Look it up.

In other words, even if I owed the money to FNB. After 3 years of not asking for the money, the debt would prescribed, and I would no longer be liable for the debt.

I have paid the debt and I have proof of this settlement.

WHY IS FNB SELLING A PAID UP DEBT WHICH IS MORE THAN 5 YEARS OLD WHICH HAS BEEN SETTLED?
