Poor response time and poor mishandling

Good Day
I hereby lodge a complain concerning the lenghth of time fnb building loan department responds to my application and the way my application is handled till thus far.
I have been with fnb as long as i remember and i thought that i was building a relation and trust with my bank, but now i am not so sure anymore. I applied for my building loan in november with the understanding that the turn around time 7-14 days. Originally when i applied for the building loan, i used prescribe application form provided by fnb and clearly indicated the amount i am requesting. Again i sent a contract stating that i will supply my material and the builder will supply labour.
Week or two later someone from fnb loan phones me to inform me that they dont approve owners supply of material. Fine i resubmited another contract stating that the contarctor will build the dwelling and claim from the bank as advised. Later when i enquire on the status of my application they inform me that they have approved 210000 amount in principle. Now the question i am asking myself is that if on my application form for the loan you write 1500000 and they approve 210000, what criteria did they use to approve 210000
