Unfair Home Loan Decline

I applied for a building loan with FNB and am really disgusted with the service and final result I received. I put the very same application through to Standard Bank and got approved. FNB first said that it was because of a Standard Bank Credit Card on my credit profile, which I informed them is my husbands, they then asked for proof and an affidavit stating same, which I did - resubmitted application, still declined. Then said it was because of a trace alert, which I knew nothign about, but upon FNB insisting that they will not approve unless this was removed, I contacted the persons who had placed the alert on my profile and they removed it to my relief which meant FNB could now process my applicationm. FNB then came back and said they wouldn't allow the application on their system at all because it probably will be declined due to all the above and so declined without even processing properly. Why then get me to do all this and they had no intention of assisting me in the first place? FNB has incompetent people in their home loans division and I feel like taking all my business to Standard Bank, because they clearly value me more, even though I'm not even a client of theirs!
