I insured my car with standard bank insurance at the end of October 2013 unfortunately two weeks after that I ended up in an accident, i was not the driver and i knew that i was liable for the extra excess (incl extra excess R3000) i then called the call centre to inform them about the accident i also told them that i did not do an inspection as i work odd shifts and was not able to make it in time the agent then told me that my insurance would then be suspended due to the inspection situation i was concerned thinking that i am driving with a car that is not insured, I kept calling the call centre requesting them to return my calls but they never did, The agents i liaised with was very impolite and not helpful at all each agent i spoke to had a different story. The girl that was handling my claim contacted me and tried to negotiate by advising me to pay for the repairs myself because of the excess being so high (excess increase from R3000 - R6000) we have spoken to so many agents and we have not received any proper feedback as promised.
