Bending over backwards??? Not likely

On the 17th of January I was driving to work, and another car clipped my car. I was told by my claims assessor that the excess of over R3000 that I had to pay will be claimed back from the person responsible for the accident. I called the call centre today to find out when the excess will be paid back to me, and had the misfortune of speaking to the most apathetic, uncaring, unprofessional call centre agent called Octavia. When I asked her how long it will take for the excess to be claimed back, she told me at least 3 years. Wow! Now that is SERVICE EXCELLENCE. I told her that I am thinking of canceling my policy with Outsurance. Her response? " Okay." Outsurance REALLY values me as a client. NOT. Then, without missing a beat, she cheerfully announced that Outsurance doesn't claim any excess back where a lane change is involved, but she will get somebody to call me back either way. GEE THANKS. A few minutes later I received a call from Tebogo, who advised that the matter was closed, because the accident happened while I changed lanes. I WAS ALLREADY IN THE LANE when the other vehicle clipped my car..WHY should I HAVE TO PAY if IT WAS NOT MY FAULT? So much for bending over backward
