Earlier this year my employee phoned Clientele Life because he wanted life cover to benefit his children in the case of his death. They began debiting the sums of R137.00 and R165.00 monthly from his bank account. In November they debited both amounts twice and because he was at home in the Eastern Cape at the time there was not enough money left in his account for him to return to work.
He has only one policy document, premium R165.00 which covers him for legal services. Clearly he has been sold the wrong policy. Clientele Life will not respond to queries about the other policy or to repeated requests to refund the amounts debited in error.
