So I submitted a claim on Friday the 29th November for hail damages at my house. Heard nothing from the Insurer till the Saturday 7/12/2013 that the claim has been authorised. Today I get a call from my son that there are contractors at the house who came to repair the damages. Firstly I don't have the damage report, I don't even know who the contractors are. I just called through now and spoke to an unhelpful lady who wasn't interested in assisting me. all she kept saying is she must transfer me to PSD. I don't kno why if I called the claims department. I need someone to call me urgently and tell me what the is going on. why am I being told the damage authorised is R46000 whereas the contractor is telling my son that it is only R20 000. So I guess my excess is calculated incorrectly then as I was told my excess is R2300. I want this contractor out of my house till everything has been resolved. The people who are supposed to check the satellite dish has also not been there, yet my claim has been authorised? so do my kids not watch TV forever now seeing that no one has been sent out? I need all of these resolved asap and the assessment report mailed to me. This is HORRIBLE!!!
