Signed up on a contract I didn't authorize!

I received a phone call from FNB cellular cell two weeks ago from a guy called Devan. He spoke to me about my pre paid phone and how FNB could offer me discounted rates for my phone. I told him to send me an email about what he was talking about and I would look at it. I then received an SMS to say that I had been put on a Top up 135 contract with vodacom! I got hold of vodacom to cancel the contract. They then said it would take two weeks to investigate and review the phone conversation. I then received a call from Harold on Thursday from FNB who said that he had sent an email to confirm cancellation of the contract to vodacom. He told me to phone back on Friday to receive a reference number which will help me track the progress of the cancellation. This was unsuccessful as I phoned three times and waited for an operator to take my call. I was cut off after 10mins of waiting each time. Harold also informed me that I will receive a call from Devan's supervisor Moosa to explain everything. I am still waiting!
I want to know how FNB can give another company my personal information and authorize a debit order without my consent!!
