Extremely poor service

My wife had a policy since 1988. She passed away on 1 Sep 2013 and I cancelled the policy on 29 Sep 2013. Nothing happened, so I resent the cancellation on 7 Oct 2013 and still nothing was done. I called on 22 Oct 2013 and again sent the documents on the same day.

I believed that the matter would be concluded, but great was my surprise when the debit order went off my bank account in Dec 2013. I called again on 3 Dec 2013 and spoke to Nhlanhla who was very helpful and even gave me a reference number, which I never got on previous calls.

I have now received correspondence indicating that the policy is cancelled, but the letter is addressed to my late wife and it states that she should ensure that there is sufficient funds to cover outstanding premiums. There was no effort made to even check the form letter!
