I have applied for a home loan with Standardbank and my loan was declined due to the low credit score. I dont understand how does the scoring system works as I dont have any adverse on my credit record. I owe Edgars R4500 and they gave me credit of R14000, I owe my credit card R13000 as I was give R14000 to use. I owe my car about R150000. My Salary is R65000 pm and my total deductions is about R39000 and my suplus is about R26000 . I am suprised that I could not even qualify for a R400000 house. This is nonsense. The other bank gave me a R1.2 Million approval. I dont know why I left my bank. I dont have to prove myself to STD Bank that I deserve a home loan but the fact is their scoring system needs to be revised
