On the 25th of November Old Mutual tried taking my debit order however this was returned saying there was insufficient funds. I called the bank and they advised there was enough funds however they didn't let the debit order go through as the money didn't clear. This doesn't make sense as they allowed me to withdraw funds on da before. I requested to speak to a manager and was advised they are busy and will call back and just as I thought there is no call from them. I now have an unpaid debit order charge and no funds to pay my insurance as we do expect that the bank would release our money for debit orders the same way that they allow us to withdraw but I guess they just want us to pay more bank charges as normal.
