3 weeks ago, for no reason at all, sms updates stopped on my credit card - cheque card was fine. I phoned card division, they said My Updates had been taken off my profile. Why? who knows, they didn't. They said they would put it back on. A week went by. No updates. I went into the bank again, phoned ccard division, said they would sort it.. No updates. This past Saturday I went again, phoned card division, my updates, who said it had not been processed, they would do it for me. They also said my profile was in Afrikaans. Why? Who knows, they don't know why, after being with STandard Bank for 40 years, suddenly I am Afrikaans. They said they would remove it. They ahve made my husband Afrikaans, his card says Mnr. Why? Who knows. All worked fine sincce SAturday until this afternoon. I get a message in Afrikaans, which I cannaot understand - the lady in Card division cannot undertand, and nobody knows why. I am ready to pull all my accounts and STanlib out of this inefficient bank. When I asked if the lady could phone me back after "fixing" the language problem, I got cut off.
