My vehicle was involved in an accident nearly 3 weeks ago whilst being used by a friend. To date, there has not a decision communicated on the claim. Over the past weeks I have unknowingly been under "some form of investigation" and my friend subjected to intimation and arrogance by the person investigating the claim. Intimidation ranges from incidents where we are required to produce contact numbers of towing truck people "or else our claim will be rejected" (which numbers we did not have at our disposal) to name but one. This "or else...", occurs whilst there is full knowledge from the investigator that Budget sends their own approved towing companies to accident scenes- and not the client's. It is not my view that legitimate insurance claims could be rejected by virtue of the client not being in possession of contacts of a towing company that was sent to the scene by the very insurer. It seems that Budget makes a decision not to pay and then goes out of their way to "concoct evidence" to support their pre-conceived decision.
